(Flowery Branch, GA)  --  Atlanta Falcons signal-caller Matt Ryan is the latest franchise quarterback to get a lucrative contract extension.  Ryan has agreed to a five-year deal, reportedly worth more than $103 million, with $59 million guaranteed.  Ryan says he's grateful to know he'll be in Atlanta for years to come.

Ryan had one year left on his rookie contract.  The Ravens' Joe Flacco, Packers' Aaron Rodgers, Cowboys' Tony Romo and Lions' Matthew Stafford have also inked new deals since last season.  Ryan threw for more than 4,700 yards and 32 touchdowns for the Falcons last season.  Atlanta drafted Ryan out of Boston College in 2008.
