On NH Today, Chuck Morse Discussed Why He's Running for U.S. Senate

Republican US Senate candidate, Chuck Morse criticized Maggie Hassan for supporting the Voting Rights Act.

“They can’t even keep Rice Krispies on the counter, and they want to federalize elections!”

In an interview with WGIR’s Chris Ryan, the President of the New Hampshire State Senate, Chuck Morse, discusses his reasons for running for the US Senate; criticizes his potential Democratic opponent, Maggie Hassan; answers detractors who say that Chuck Morse doesn’t have charisma; gives his opinion of the January 6th assault on the Capitol Building; defends the New Hampshire election process and strikes back against the proposed federalizing of elections; and weighs in on inflation, energy independence, immigration, and foreign policy.

Chuck Morse plans to apply his expertise in preparing New Hampshire’s budget to Washington, which he describes as “out-of-control and in need of common sense.” His blueprint for success would include lowering taxes, reducing the burden on small businesses while taking care of the people who need help.

While praising Senator Joe Manchin for trying to put the brakes on out-of-control spending, Chuck Morse criticizes Maggie Hassan for going along with her party’s policies while she is not doing enough for the Granite State.

“She claims that she had a lot to do with this infrastructure bill, but New Hampshire got ranked fiftieth in highway funds.”

When Chuck Morse was asked how he would respond to those who say that he isn’t flamboyant enough to win the primary or the senatorial election, he said, “I keep winning my elections down in District 22 by large margins. I think I’m quiet and effective, and I will stay that way because it works for me personally.”

Chuck Morse described the attack on the Capitol Building as a travesty which we need to ensure never happens again. He went on to defend the election process in New Hampshire and to attack Maggie Hassan for supporting the Voting Rights Act which would give some control of our elections to the federal government.

“They can’t even keep Rice Krispies on the counter, and they want to federalize elections!”

To control inflation, Chuck Morse would abandon the Biden green energy initiative and return to an all of the above energy policy which would reduce prices by returning to American energy independence.

If elected, Senator Morse would favor enforcing our existing immigration laws and would secure all of our borders. He is especially concerned about the fentanyl epidemic which can be connected to our lack of control of the border.

As far as American foreign policy is concerned, Chuck Morse considers China to be our principal problem.
